About Saint Mark's Serbian Orthodox Camp
Saint Mark's Camp is located on the same property as Saint Mark's Monastery in quiet Sheffield Village Ohio. The property was donated in 1983 by the local Saint Mark's parish. The beautiful Monastery was consecrated in May of 1988. The camp at Saint Mark's was first organized in 1985. In 1996 a new camp dorm was built and blessed offering air conditioned rooms, bathrooms, showers and a gathering space. The complex also has it's own pavilion, soccer field and Serbian Orthodox cemetery which was opened in 1995.
Camp is a place where youth learn more about Orthodox Christian life. Friendships are formed that last for years to come. A great deal of thought and organization go into planning for Camp. We strive to create a place where youth can blossom through worship, instruction and recreation.
Two priests are assigned to the camp each week to conduct classes and religious services. His Grace Bishop Dr. MITROPHAN visits the camp and sits and talks with the campers. The Circle of Serbian Sisters have been a mainstay at the camp contributing to its operation throughout its existence.
